The Indian government has revised the Public Notice regarding designated ports for the import of scrap metal into India.
Previous Provision.
The import of scrap metal was permitted only through the following 15 designated ports:
1. Chennai 2. Cochin 3. Ennore 4. JNPT 5. Kandla 6. Mormugao 7. Mumbai 8. New Mangalore 9. Paradip 10. Tuticorin 11. Vishakhapatnam 12. Pipava 13. Mundra 14. Kolkata 15. Krishnapatnam
Revised Provision
The import of scrap metal is now permitted through the following 16 designated ports, with Kattupalli Port added as the newly designated import port:
1. Chennai 2. Cochin 3. Ennore 4. JNPT 5. Kandla 6. Mormugao 7. Mumbai 8. New Mangalore 9. Paradip 10. Tuticorin 11. Vishakhapatnam 12. Pipava 13. Mundra 14. Kolkata 15. Krishnapatnam 16. Kattupalli
